Hi, I’m Madison
Fine line tattoo artist and the artist behind MA.D
I’ve always been an artist, but it took an unexpected career change for me to finally bet on myself. I had thought about tattooing for years, but convinced myself I couldn’t do it unless I knew how to tattoo every style.
Eventually I realized I didn’t need to do everything—I could create the kind of art I was naturally drawn to and see who connected with it.
The first time I tattooed, I knew I had found my medium.
I’ve Always Loved the Little Details
As a kid, I covered my schoolwork in ornamental doodles. I’d spend entire nights bedazzling things and hours putting tiny braids in my hair simply because I wanted them that small.
When I worked with henna, I would cut the tip of the cone as fine as possible. I especially loved decorating hands because it felt like creating jewelry you got to wear.
That same part of me eventually became my tattoo style: delicate linework, ornamentals, florals, script, and pieces thoughtfully designed around the body.
Your Tattoo Should Feel Like You
Tattooing is incredibly personal. I want you to feel comfortable telling me when you love something—and especially when you don’t.
I tell my clients all the time: please don’t people-please me. I’m not the one wearing this for the rest of my life. You are.
I’ll bring my experience and artistic eye, but ultimately we’re creating something together. I pay attention to the little things—if you seem unsure about a placement or something just doesn’t feel quite right, I’d rather stop, talk about it and figure it out together.
My hope is that years from now, you don’t just love your tattoo. You remember how you felt while we created it together.
Beyond Tattooing
When I’m not tattooing, I’m usually still creating something. I love anything hands-on like cooking, decorating, random art projects, dancing, or getting completely lost in whatever new thing has caught my attention.
I’m a wife and a mom, and becoming a mother has probably taught me more about myself than anything else. I love getting to know my son as he grows and figuring out who I’m becoming right alongside him.
My faith is also a huge part of my life. I’m naturally someone who asks a lot of questions and wants to understand things deeply, and over the years that search has brought me closer to Jesus and given me a much more grounded sense of who I am.
Mostly, I’m someone who loves people, loves creating, and is always learning. Life can be a little chaotic, but I think there’s something really beautiful about continuing to grow through all of it.
