Everything you need to know before booking your appointment
-
All tattoo projects begin with a booking request through my website. Submitting a request does not guarantee an appointment. I personally review each project to make sure it is a good fit for my style and current schedule.
Please allow 3–5 days for a response. If your project is a good fit, you’ll receive your quote along with a private link to view my availability and book your appointment.
Quotes are valid for 90 days. If you haven’t booked within that time, please submit a new project request so I can review your project, current pricing, and availability again.
Receiving a booking link does not reserve an appointment. Your appointment is officially secured once you’ve selected your date, completed the required forms, and paid your $50 non refundable deposit. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your appointment is confirmed.
Your $50 deposit is applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.
Need to reschedule? With at least 24 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred to one rescheduled appointment. Additional rescheduling requires a new $50 deposit; all deposits paid will still be applied toward your final tattoo total.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice and no-shows will forfeit the deposit. Exceptions for illness or emergencies may be made at my discretion. When an exception is approved, the deposit must be used toward a new appointment within 90 days.
If I need to reschedule your appointment, your deposit will automatically transfer to the new date. If my rescheduling makes it impossible for you to reasonably rebook, I may refund the deposit at my discretion.
-
Tattoo appointments begin at a $250 minimum. Each project is individually quoted based on the design, size, placement, level of detail, and overall scope of the appointment.
Multiple smaller tattoos can often be combined into one appointment and will be quoted together as a single project. If the number of tattoos or scope of the project changes after your quote is provided, your pricing may be adjusted accordingly.
My goal is to provide you with a clear and accurate price before your appointment. Most projects are quoted at a set price, so you’ll know what to expect ahead of time. Significant changes to the size, placement, detail, or design may affect your original quote.
For larger or highly detailed projects where the total tattooing time is more difficult to predict, I may quote the project at my $175 hourly rate instead. If your project will be hourly, this will always be communicated in your quote along with an estimated time range before you book.
Please send any significant design or project changes before your appointment whenever possible. Appointment times are reserved based on the project originally submitted, so major additions or changes requested the day of your appointment may not be possible within your scheduled time and may require an additional appointment.
Your $50 deposit is applied toward your final total. The remaining balance is due at the end of your appointment and can be paid by cash, Apple Pay, Venmo, or Zelle. Card payments are accepted for deposits only.
If using Venmo, Zelle, or another payment app, please have your account set up and ready to use prior to your appointment.
-
I understand that plans change. If you need to move your appointment, please contact me as soon as possible.
With at least 24 hours’ notice, your $50 deposit can be transferred to one rescheduled appointment.
If you need to reschedule more than once, a new $50 deposit will be required to secure the new date. All deposits paid will still be applied toward the final cost of your tattoo.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 24 hours’ notice, as well as no-shows, will forfeit the original deposit and a new deposit will be required to book again.
I understand that illness and unexpected emergencies happen. Exceptions to the 24-hour policy may be made at my discretion. If an exception is approved, your original deposit can be transferred to a new appointment booked within 90 days.
If you choose to cancel your tattoo rather than reschedule, deposits remain nonrefundable, regardless of the amount of notice given.
If I need to reschedule your appointment, your deposit will automatically transfer to the new date. If my rescheduling makes it impossible for you to reasonably rebook, I may refund your deposit at my discretion

My design process is collaborative. I want your tattoo to feel like you, and you’re always welcome to share reference images, rough sketches, notes, or even a voice memo if that’s the easiest way to explain what you’re envisioning.
Reference images are always welcome, but I do not directly copy another tattoo artist’s original work. I’m happy to stay close to the overall direction of your inspiration or, if you’d like, you can give me more creative freedom to interpret the idea in my own style.
If you’ve purchased permission or a tattoo ticket from another artist to have their design tattooed, I’m happy to work from that design with proof of permission.
Your Design Rendering
Unless you’re booking one of my finalized flash designs, you’ll receive your design rendering the night before your appointment.
Small adjustments are completely normal. I understand that it can be difficult to put exactly what you’re imagining into words, and I want you to feel comfortable communicating changes with me.
If the overall concept changes significantly after I’ve already completed substantial design work, a $50 redesign fee may apply. If you’ve changed your mind about the direction of your tattoo before I’ve begun designing, please let me know as soon as possible.
Size + Placement
We’ll finalize sizing and placement together at your appointment. I typically print multiple sizes so we can see how the design works with your body, movement, and anatomy before anything is tattooed.
The size submitted with your inquiry can be an estimate. Small adjustments generally won’t affect your quote, but a significant increase in size or scope may require updated pricing and, depending on the time reserved, may require an additional appointment.
I’ll always be transparent if I believe a design needs to be larger, simplified, or adjusted for readability, healing, or long-term longevity. Skin naturally changes over time, and factors such as placement, movement, and skin maturity can influence how fine-line work heals and ages.
Certain placements aren’t suitable for the style of work I offer. I do not tattoo the sides of fingers or feet, palms, soles of the feet, face, or genital areas. Tops of fingers, tops of feet, and ears may be accepted depending on the design.
Handwriting + Important Details
For handwriting or signature tattoos, please provide a clear photo of the original writing before your appointment whenever possible. If you’re having someone create handwriting specifically for the tattoo, black ballpoint pen on plain white paper photographs best and gives me the cleanest reference to work from.
Please carefully review all spelling, names, dates, numbers, coordinates, and other important details when you receive your design and again before we tattoo. You’ll have the opportunity to approve these details before the tattoo begins.

Fine-line tattooing is intentionally delicate, and every person’s skin heals and holds ink differently. Because of this, it’s completely normal for certain areas of fine-line work to heal lighter or less consistently than others.
A touch-up doesn’t mean something went wrong—sometimes it’s simply part of the fine-line process. I’d always rather work conservatively with your skin and refine an area once it’s healed than overwork it during your initial appointment.
Complimentary Touch-Ups
I offer one complimentary touch-up within 4 months of your original appointment when needed.
Your tattoo must be fully healed before it can be touched up, which is typically around 4–6 weeks. If you’re unsure whether your tattoo needs one, you’re always welcome to reach out once it’s healed.
When requesting a touch-up, please provide a clear photo of the healed tattoo so I can see how it settled into the skin and make sure we reserve enough time for your appointment.
If your tattoo has healed beautifully and doesn’t need a touch-up, there’s no need to schedule one.
After 4 Months
If more than 4 months have passed since your original appointment, touch-ups on my work begin with a $25 tray fee.
If you’re already coming in for a new tattoo and we can reasonably touch up your existing piece during the same appointment, I’ll waive the tray fee.
Older tattoos that need more extensive refreshing or larger-scale reworking may require additional time and pricing. I’ll always discuss this with you beforehand.
Touching Up Another Artist’s Work
I’m happy to consider refreshing or reworking another artist’s tattoo when the existing piece falls within the scope of the work I offer.
Because I did not originally tattoo the piece, this is considered a new project rather than a touch-up and is subject to approval and my current $250 minimum.

I want your tattoo appointment to feel comfortable, relaxed, and collaborative. A little preparation beforehand helps your body—and your skin—have the best experience possible.
Before Your Appointment
Please arrive at your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive early, feel free to text me, but I may be finishing with another client or using that time to prepare for your appointment.
I allow a 15-minute grace period for unexpected delays. If you’re running late, please let me know as soon as possible. Arriving more than 15 minutes late may affect what we’re able to complete during your scheduled time and, depending on my schedule that day, may require rescheduling.
For the best experience, please:
Begin hydrating well about 48 hours before your appointment.
Moisturize the tattoo area regularly for about two weeks beforehand when possible.
Eat a good meal before coming in to help prevent feeling lightheaded during your tattoo.
Leave the shaving to me—I’ll prep the area for you at your appointment.
Avoid arriving with a sunburn in the area being tattooed. I cannot tattoo sunburned or significantly irritated skin.
Do not use numbing cream before your appointment. Numbing products can change the consistency of the skin and may affect how fine-line work heals. For sensitive placements or longer sessions, I can use Bactine when appropriate.
Spray tan, self-tanner, lotions, or oils on the tattoo area will need to be removed before tattooing. Please also wait until your tattoo is fully healed before applying spray tan or self-tanner over it again.
What to Wear + Bring
Wear comfortable clothing that gives me easy access to the area we’re tattooing, and choose something you wouldn’t be devastated to accidentally get a little ink on.
For placements that require more skin to be exposed, your comfort and privacy are extremely important to me. Nipple covers are available in the studio, and we’ll only expose as much of the area as necessary to safely place and tattoo your design.
You’re welcome to bring water, drinks, and snacks, especially for longer appointments. Headphones are welcome too—feel free to listen to music or an audiobook, watch something, or relax on your phone while we work, as long as it doesn’t cause movement in the area I’m tattooing.
Food can be enjoyed during a break rather than while I’m actively tattooing.
Breaks
If you need a break at any point, just tell me. Longer appointments can be physically demanding, and I’m always happy to pause so you can stretch, eat, use the restroom, or simply reset.
Guests + Children
You’re welcome to bring a guest with you. Just keep in mind that my studio is intimate and seating is limited, so keeping your crew small makes the appointment more comfortable for everyone.
Children 9 and older may accompany you as long as they’re able to safely follow directions and allow you to remain still and focused during your tattoo.
If you need to bring a younger child, another adult must accompany you and remain responsible for them throughout the appointment.
Health + Safety
If you’re actively contagious or feeling too unwell to comfortably be tattooed, please reach out so we can discuss rescheduling.
I will not tattoo anyone who arrives visibly intoxicated or impaired.
For safety, I do not tattoo anyone who is pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
All clients must be 18 or older. Your valid photo ID will be collected through your consent forms. Anyone being tattooed who has not completed the online ID verification must bring a valid physical photo ID to the appointment.

Your tattoo may be finished, but your skin isn’t quite yet. Proper aftercare is an important part of helping your fine-line work heal beautifully.
Everyone’s skin heals a little differently, so listen to your body and reach out if you’re ever unsure about something you’re seeing during the healing process.
Dermashield
Dermashield is an optional protective barrier that can make the first few days of healing a little easier, but it is not required for your tattoo to heal properly.
If applied, leave your Dermashield on for 1–3 days and remove it by the third day.
It’s completely normal to see fluid collect underneath the bandage. This may include excess ink, blood, or lymphatic fluid and is part of the early healing process.
Remove the Dermashield early if:
-The tattoo becomes exposed because the bandage is peeling or the seal has been broken.
-Fluid begins leaking outside of the bandage.
-You develop significant redness, irritation, or sensitivity around the adhesive.
Once the Dermashield has been removed, begin your regular aftercare routine.
Removing Your Dermashield
Wash your hands first. In the shower, use lukewarm water and gentle, fragrance-free antibacterial soap to help loosen the adhesive.
Lift an edge of the bandage and slowly stretch it back along the skin, keeping the bandage low and taut rather than pulling it upward like a Band-Aid. Take your time and allow the warm water and soap to help release the adhesive.
Once removed, gently wash the tattoo and pat it dry with a clean paper towel. Never scrub the tattoo.
Washing + Moisturizing
For approximately the first two weeks, gently wash your tattoo morning and night using clean hands, lukewarm water, and a gentle, fragrance-free antibacterial soap.
After washing:
1. Gently pat the tattoo dry with a clean paper towel.
2. Allow it to finish drying.
3. Apply a very thin layer of tattoo-safe, fragrance-free moisturizer or balm.
The goal is to keep your skin comfortably moisturized without oversaturating it. Your tattoo shouldn’t feel excessively wet or coated, but you also don’t want the skin becoming extremely dry.
I recommend avoiding heavy petroleum-based ointments such as Aquaphor or Vaseline for my fine-line aftercare routine.
The First Few Days
For the first 4 days, avoid vigorous exercise or activities that cause heavy sweating.
Also minimize friction against the tattoo and avoid tight clothing or accessories that repeatedly rub against the area while it’s healing.
You can shower normally, but avoid very hot or excessively long showers and don’t scrub the tattoo.
Swimming + Sun
Do not submerge your tattoo for at least 2 weeks. This includes:
- Pools
- Hot tubs
- Baths
- Lakes, rivers, and oceans
Avoid direct sun exposure on your new tattoo for at least 2 weeks as well.
Do not apply sunscreen directly to the tattoo until the skin is fully healed. Once healed, protecting your tattoo from UV exposure with sunscreen can help preserve its appearance long-term.
What’s Normal While Healing?
Some initial redness, tenderness, sensitivity, or a mild sunburn-like feeling can be completely normal after being tattooed.
As your tattoo heals, you may also experience:
-Dryness
-Light flaking or peeling
-Mild itching
Let your skin heal naturally. Do not scratch, pick, or peel flaking skin or scabs.
Fine-line tattoos are intentionally delicate, and different areas of the tattoo may settle into the skin differently. Once everything is fully healed, we can assess whether a touch-up would be beneficial.
Hands, Fingers + Feet
Hands, fingers, and feet can be more challenging to heal because they’re exposed to frequent movement, washing, contact, and friction.
Be especially mindful of keeping these areas clean while still avoiding over-washing or overworking the skin. Minimize unnecessary friction and allow the area as much opportunity to heal undisturbed as possible.
When to Reach Out
If something about your healing tattoo doesn’t look or feel right, please reach out to me and send a clear photo. I’m always happy to help you determine whether what you’re experiencing looks consistent with the normal tattoo-healing process.
Increasing or spreading redness, worsening warmth or swelling, increasing pain, pus-like drainage, red streaking, fever, or feeling generally unwell can require medical evaluation. If you’re experiencing concerning or rapidly worsening symptoms, please contact a qualified healthcare professional rather than waiting for a response from me.

Do you tattoo anyone under 18?
No. All clients must be 18 years or older, even with parental or guardian consent.
Do you accept walk-ins?
No. My studio is appointment only. All new projects begin through the Start Your Project form on my website.
Can I book multiple tattoos in one appointment?
Absolutely. Multiple tattoos can often be completed within the same session. Please include everything you’re considering in your original inquiry so I can accurately quote your project and reserve enough time for your appointment.
If the number of tattoos changes after your original quote, your project may need to be requoted.
Can I bring my own design?
Yes, as long as the artwork is your own or you have permission from the original artist to have it tattooed.
If you’ve purchased a tattoo ticket or permission from another artist, please provide proof of permission with your inquiry.
I will not directly copy another tattoo artist’s original work without permission.
Can you design my tattoo before I book an appointment?
Yes. If you’d like to see a custom design before committing to an appointment, you can request this through my Start Your Project form.
Custom pre-booking designs are $50, and you can expect to receive your initial rendering within approximately one week. We’ll then have the opportunity to make reasonable adjustments as needed.
If you decide to move forward with the tattoo within 3 months of receiving your design, the $50 design fee will be applied toward the cost of your tattoo.
Do you tattoo over scars or stretch marks?
Yes, depending on the skin.
Scars generally need to be fully healed and mature—typically at least 18–24 months old—before I’ll consider tattooing over them. I’ll also need to assess the texture and condition of the scar tissue to determine whether tattooing the area is appropriate.
I can tattoo over stretch marks as well. Stretch-marked skin can respond differently to tattooing, so the design, level of detail, and technique may need to be adjusted depending on the individual skin.
Do you do cover-ups?
No. Traditional cover-up work isn’t something I currently offer.
Can you tattoo over moles or questionable skin spots?
I will not tattoo directly over a mole, lesion, or area of skin that appears questionable. If there’s any concern about an area you’d like tattooed, please have it evaluated and cleared by a qualified healthcare professional before your appointment.
What if I don’t know exactly what size or placement I want?
That’s completely normal. We’ll finalize size and placement together at your appointment.
I typically print multiple sizes so we can see how the design works with your body before making a final decision. You don’t need to have every detail figured out before submitting your project.
When do your books open?
I open my books at the beginning of each month for the following month.
For example, October booking opens at the beginning of September. Your private booking link will show the appointments currently available within my open schedule.
Do you tattoo in color?
My work is primarily black ink and grey wash, but I also offer select designs in red ink.
Do you tattoo clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. I do not tattoo clients who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding. You’re welcome to submit a project once you’re no longer pregnant or breastfeeding.
Can I get tattooed before a vacation?
It depends on what you’ll be doing. If your trip involves swimming, significant sun exposure, hot tubs, or other activities that interfere with proper healing, I recommend scheduling your tattoo after your vacation or allowing at least 2–3 weeks of healing time beforehand.
Where is your studio?
My private studio is located in Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona. The exact studio location and arrival information are provided after your appointment is booked.
Parking is free and easy, with street parking available in front of the building and covered parking behind the building.
What’s the best way to contact you?
For tattoo inquiries, please use the Start Your Project form on my website. Your submission is sent directly to my email so I can keep all of your project information together.
If you reach out through Instagram DM regarding a new tattoo project, I’ll direct you to the website to submit your inquiry.
Is fine-line a good choice for my first tattoo?
Absolutely. Fine-line can be a great introduction to tattooing because the work is delicate and can be as subtle or as detailed as you’d like.
First-timers are always welcome in my studio. We’ll take our time with sizing and placement, talk through the process before we begin, and you can always ask questions or take a break if you need one.
You never have to pretend you’re not nervous—getting your first tattoo is a big deal, and I’ll walk you through it.
